Co-stars Heather O’Rourke and Dominique Dunne, who played sisters in the film, both met their untimely ends — O’Rourke had a medical misdiagnosis and Dunne was murdered by her ex-boyfriend. Two other cast members, Julian Beck and Will Sampson, also passed away soon after filming, as well.
