Bruno Mars has achieved a new milestone on Billboard.
The global star’s hit single “I Just Might” is No. 1 for a 35th week on the Hot R&B Songs chart.
With its latest tally, the D’Mile-produced track breaks its tie with Leon Thomas’ “Mutt” for the second longest-running leader on this chart. It trails The Weeknd’s 2020 smash “Blinding Lights,” which ruled for 48 weeks.
Launched in 2012, the Hot R&B Songs chart tracks the week’s most popular R&B songs based on streaming activity, sales and radio airplay impressions in the U.S.
“I Just Might” is Mars’ fifth song to reach No. 1 on this chart. Here is an overview of Bruno Mars’ No. 1s on Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs, ranked by longest run:

Elsewhere on Billboard this week, “I Just Might” is No. 1 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, No. 3 on R&B Streaming Songs (No. 1 peak), No. 4 on Radio Songs (No. 1 peak) and No. 15 on the Hot 100 (No. 1 peak).
“I Just Might” was released in early January as the lead single to Mars’ fourth album, The Romantic, which dropped the following month. The groove-friendly track debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100, becoming Mars’ first single to do so and his 10th visit to the top overall.
Mars is supporting his latest album on his stadium tour, which kicked off in the summer with special guests Anderson .Paak, Victoria Monét, Leon Thomas and Raye. The Romantic Tour now spans 115 stadium shows following an expansion that added dates across Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
The massive trek is scheduled to wrap up at the end of May 2027 at Goyang Stadium in South Korea, where he will perform four shows.
