Beyoncé has a new hit on her hands.
“Morning Dew (Donk),” a bonus track on the B’Day (20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition), rises to No. 1 in its sixth week on the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay chart.
It marks Beyoncé’s fourth No. 1 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart and her first visit to the summit since 2022. She topped this chart twice that year, starting with “Break My Soul” from Renaissance, followed by her duet with The Isley Brothers, “Make Me Say It Again Girl.”
Here is an overview of Beyoncé’s No. 1s on the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay chart, ranked by longest-run:
- “Love On Top,” No. 1 for 7 weeks (2012)
- “Make Me Say It Again Girl,” The Isley Brothers & Beyoncé, No. 1 for 5 weeks (2022)
- “Break My Soul,” No. 1 for 2 weeks (2022)
- “Morning Dew (Donk),” No. 1 for one week so far (2026)
Elsewhere on Billboard this week, “Morning Dew” climbs from No. 47 to No. 38 on the Hot 100. It previously debuted at No. 26 on this popular singles chart. On Mediabase’s R&B Radio chart, “Morning Dew” rises from No. 2 to No. 1.
Without notice, Beyoncé dropped “Morning Dew” on July 4 as the lead single from the 20th anniversary reissue of B’Day. She co-wrote the steamy track with Pharrell Williams, The-Dream and DIXSON. Itmarked Bey’s first musical release since 2024’s Cowboy Carter, which won Album of the Year at the Grammys.
Although “Donk” appears on theB’Day anniversary reissue, it was originally recorded during the sessions for Beyoncé’s 2013 self-titled album.
B’Day (20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) was released on the singer’s birthday (Sept. 4). The expanded set featured 31 tracks, including rare B-sides, unreleased vault tracks, and Spanish-language collaborations with Maluma and Selena.
Reflecting on the 20th anniversary of B’Day, Beyoncé said, “I wanted the album to be big, percussive, hard, up-tempo, and energized, and it was important to me that we used live instrumentation.”
She added, “Hip-hop was taking over at the time, but I was fighting to preserve the bridges, melodies, and harmonies that have always been at the heart of R&B. The goal was to blend those two worlds through the art of sampling. I loved the minimalism of a beautiful vocal arrangement over a simple drum loop or a classic guitar like ‘Irreplaceable’…but only if that 808 was banging underneath.”
