Dance-pop riser SHAB is on a unstoppable rise, climbing the charts throughout the year with more than three Billboard Top 40 chart entries in the last eight months. Now, she’s reached a new high, landing at an impressive No. 11 – just shy of the Top 10 – on the Billboard Dance Music Chart with ‘Perfume (VIP Remix)’ ,an electrifying reimagining of the track that has already propelled her further towards stardom.
A euphoric, club-worthy take on the infectious hit, the remix is an intoxicating floor-filler that oozes sheer confidence in sleek, signature SHAB style. It’s no wonder the catchy rework is making waves.
Magnetic and utterly impossible to ignore, the track sees the artist embrace her Persian heritage in all its glory, honouring her incredible story of fleeing Tehran at the age of eight as the youngest of thirteen children. She spent five years alone in a German boarding school before eventually making her way to America – merely at the age of fourteen.
SHAB then began recording in Farsi before crossing over into English, where she met Grammy-winning producer Damon Sharpe and forged a creative partnership that would help shape the next chapter of her career.
