Gold-certified singer-songwriter Megan Woods has released her self-titled debut album, Megan Woods. The 10-track project marks an exciting new chapter for Woods, whose powerful vocals and vulnerable storytelling have quickly connected with listeners.
“This album is about identity, hope, and remembering that we were made for something greater,” Megan Woods shares. “My music comes from a personal journey of discovering my identity in Christ, and my mission is helping people see themselves the way God sees them.”
That mission has been at the heart of Woods’ music since she released her debut and breakout single, “The Truth.” The song has surpassed 175 million streams, consistently generates more than one million weekly U.S. streams and has inspired more than 83,000 user-created videos. “The Truth” also reached No. 1 on multiple CCM radio charts and earned RIAA Gold certification.
The song’s extraordinary response helped Woods reach a rapidly growing audience, and she now has more than two million followers across social media. Named Billboard’s 2025 No. 1 Top New Christian Artist, Woods was also named a 2024 Pandora Artist to Watch and a 2024 Amazon Artist to Watch. Her growing career has included appearances on Fox & Friends, ABC News Now, and the Grand Ole Opry. This collection of songs earned two Dove Award nominations, including this year’s New Artist of the Year and Song of the Year (2025), for her breakthrough hit, “The Truth.”
Her debut album builds on the honest, faith-filled storytelling that first connected Woods with listeners, exploring themes of identity, hope, and the promises found in Christ. The project features the current radio single, “Heaven Down Here,” inspired by conversations about Compassion International and its work to spread the hope believers have in Christ around the world. “Heaven Down Here” currently has more than 70 stations on and is charting Top 15 on both Mediabase Christian AC and Billboard Christian AC Airplay.
The album release comes as Woods is currently on the road for the fall leg of The Truth Tour, which kicked off October 1 and continues through November 22, with Jeremy Rosado joining as a special guest. Woods will also return to the iconic Grand Ole Opry stage on October 28. Centered around worship, storytelling, and genuine connection, The Truth Tour carries the same message that has become foundational to Woods’ music: discovering identity and worth in Christ and returning to the truth of who God says we are.
