Xuavage Love took four years to complete his debut EP, ‘Zachary’, and in so doing, the artist has lifted from his own shoulders a heavy burden that’s been weighing on him since he first relocated to Los Angeles.
The five track EP delivers lyrics that hit hard, layered over dance pop instrumentals. The artist, whose friends refer to him as The Hook Master, approaches music from a place that also incorporates fashion and film. His soundscapes support his lyrical compositions, which on this EP come together as a solid concept; Xuavage Love lays his heart on his sleeve, his emotions are visible for all to see, the EP serves as a catharsis for his pent-up feelings.
The ‘Zachary’ EP came into being as a result of Xuavage Love’s meeting with producer Blondeyes, and their subsequent collaboration. Xuavage Love’s mission is to approach everything he does with love and openness; while he knows that life isn’t always positive, that’s his first intention. This quest is also the reason behind his stage name (pronounced Savage Love), while he credits his musical inspirations as being his father, who was a drummer, as well as the music and words of Jim Morrison, Jack White and Prince.
Speaking about ‘Zachary’, Xuavage Love said,
“I want people to be ok with knowing they made mistakes and that sometimes things just don’t work out how we always want them but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel and just being self aware of what your experiencing is a true blessing in itself.”
‘Zachary’ is out now and can be streamed and downloaded here. You can check out Xuavage Love and his music online on Facebook, Instagram, Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.
