In the years before he finally found success with the original Rocky, Sylvester Stallone was destitute, and even homeless for brief periods. During this time, he took just about any acting job that came his way — including this awful softcore film, The Party at Kitty and Stud’s, about the sex lives of a New York City couple. (Yup, Stallone played “Stud.”) The final product was so bad and so unsexy that it was barely noticed by anyone —until Stallone became a mega-star, at which point the owners of the film changed its title to Italian Stallion and re-released it, hoping to cash in on Sly’s high profile by offering the chance to see Rocky’s, uh, stallion. Stallone himself has called the film “horrendous,” and if anything, he’s being generous.
