From cinematic soundscapes and synth-pop to progressive rock and dance music, Sun1 is opening an exciting new chapter for acclaimed producer Robert Anthoyne Chrétien Cotnoir.
There’s something wonderfully fitting about Sunday, November 1, 2026, being the third and final “Sun1” of the year. For music producer Robert Anthoyne Chrétien Cotnoir, professionally known as RACC, it’s a playful coincidence that shares a name with one of his most exciting creative ventures: Sun1.
But behind the clever name is a serious musical talent whose career spans television, electronic music, progressive rock, dance and experimental sound.
With an impressive collection of professional accomplishments and a growing catalog of original recordings, RACC is bringing his distinctive musical vision into a new era through Sun1, a project that embraces collaboration, artistic freedom and the limitless possibilities of modern music.

From Hollywood Soundtracks to Electronic Innovation
Cotnoir has spent years establishing himself as a respected figure in entertainment.
A two-time recipient of the Motion Picture Sound Editors Golden Reel Award for Outstanding Achievement in Music Editing, the New York-based producer has contributed to some of television’s most recognizable productions.
His credits include Gossip Girl, Damages, Medium, Quantico, Smash, Instinct, Borgia and the critically acclaimed Netflix series The Diplomat.
A graduate of the Yale School of Drama, where he earned his MFA, Cotnoir also holds a BA in Theatre from the State University of New York at Binghamton.
His background in theatrical storytelling and cinematic sound has helped shape a musical approach that goes beyond conventional songwriting.
For RACC, music is about atmosphere, emotion, movement and the ability to transport listeners somewhere unexpected.
Sun1: A Musical Project Without Boundaries
Sun1 brings together Cotnoir’s diverse influences, from classic rock and progressive arrangements to electronic dance music, synth-pop and contemporary pop production.
Rather than settling into one musical category, the project explores different styles while maintaining a distinctive creative identity.
Among its upcoming releases is “Beneath the Noise,” an electro-synth-pop recording featuring female vocals and exploring the search for inner peace. Scheduled for December 4, 2026, the track promises a combination of electronic textures and introspective songwriting.
Following in January 2027 is “Pictures,” a progressive rock composition featuring virtuoso guitarist Tao.
Exploring themes of abundance, excess and overindulgence, the recording will arrive in two versions, the Magician Mixand the High Priestess Mix, both scheduled for January 6.
The collaboration represents the kind of musical experimentation that makes Sun1 particularly interesting, bringing together accomplished musicians with different creative backgrounds.

A Growing Collection of New Music
The Sun1 release schedule extends well into 2027, with recordings that explore relationships, nostalgia, personal transformation and contemporary society.
“To Make You Mine,” scheduled for February 12, combines pop, adult rock and R&B influences in a song about lost love and memories that refuse to disappear.
“Flavors of Tears,” arriving March 12, moves into nu-disco territory with a male-female duet exploring the emotional complexities of a breakup.
A progressive rock interpretation of Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven,” subtitled the Fire Horse Mix, is planned for April 16.
Then comes “Soul of Glass,” scheduled for May 14, an ambitious dance recording featuring vocals in French and English, with a Japanese passage, exploring themes surrounding the decline of Western civilization.
Together, these recordings demonstrate the scope of Cotnoir’s musical imagination and his willingness to explore subjects and sounds that don’t necessarily fit the expectations of mainstream pop.
The Creative World of RACC
Sun1 is only one part of Cotnoir’s extensive musical career.
As the producer behind Grapefruit Sound Lab, he has developed recordings that blend electronic dance music, darkwave, gothic influences and socially conscious songwriting.
The project’s Halloween album 1031, released in a newly edited and remastered edition on October 1, 2026, offers a journey through eerie electronic atmospheres and dramatic musical storytelling.
Featuring tracks including “Big Top Carousel,” “Pazuzu,” “Asylum,” “Horseman,” “Good Times Roll” and “All Souls,” the collection demonstrates Cotnoir’s ability to create music that is both theatrical and dance-oriented.
His collaborations with powerhouse vocalist Amuka, also known as Sheila Horne, have brought additional recognition.
Their single “Don’t Fall For It” reached No. 14 on the Billboard Dance Chart and No. 41 on the Billboard Electronica Chart.
Cotnoir has also worked on new mixes of Amuka’s “A Song About Freedom” and “Love Cards,” further demonstrating his versatility as a producer and collaborator.

Revisiting the Past While Creating the Future
Another significant part of Cotnoir’s musical history is New Clear Sky, the electronic duo he formed with vocalist Robert Dombrower.
The group developed a distinctive synth-driven sound through recordings including “The Stuff of Magick,” “Serenity” and “Vast.”
Now, with a newly remastered Best Of collection in development and a possible live reunion, the project may introduce its music to an entirely new generation of listeners.
Cotnoir has also helped preserve the musical legacy of Ghosha & Tao, the pioneering female duo whose previously unreleased recordings became the six-track EP Original Face.
His work restoring, mixing and mastering those recordings reflects another important dimension of his career: a commitment to preserving innovative music while helping it find new audiences.
A New Era for Sun1
What makes Sun1 particularly compelling is its refusal to be confined to a single sound.
At a time when much of the music industry is driven by algorithms, familiar formulas and increasingly narrow genre classifications, Cotnoir continues to pursue an approach rooted in creative curiosity.
His experience in film and television brings a cinematic quality to his productions, while his background in electronic music gives his recordings an unmistakable rhythmic energy.
The result is a project that can move from introspective synth-pop to progressive rock, from emotionally charged ballads to energetic dance recordings, without losing its artistic purpose.
And with an ambitious release schedule already extending into 2027, Sun1 appears ready to introduce listeners to an increasingly diverse collection of music.
Sunday, November 1, may be the third and final “Sun1” on the calendar in 2026, but for RACC and his musical collaborators, the creative journey is far from over.

Sun1 isn’t simply revisiting the sounds of yesterday. It’s finding new ways to make them part of tomorrow.
