Rising Christian artist Josh Grove invites listeners to step away from life’s relentless pace and rediscover the peace of God with his new single, “I’m Done Running,” available now through NRT Music.
Blending a youthful contemporary pop sound with a message of faith and surrender, “I’m Done Running” speaks directly to anyone exhausted from carrying fear, pressure, and uncertainty alone. Inspired by Psalm 46:10 and Matthew 11:28–30, the song encourages listeners to slow down, become still before God, and trust Him with everything they have been trying to manage on their own.
“If you’re moving at the speed of light / How could you ever try and recognize / The little things that God has placed like signs,” Grove sings in the opening verse, confronting the distractions that can make it difficult to recognize God’s presence. The song builds into a bold declaration of freedom as Grove announces, “Fear, you are dead to me,” before returning to his knees and offering his life fully to God.
Written by Grove and produced by Eric Haley, “I’m Done Running” captures the pivotal moment when striving gives way to surrender. Its energetic pop production reinforces a message that is both personal and universal: sometimes the most meaningful step forward begins by stopping, listening, and allowing God to lead.
The release continues an impressive season of growth for the Michigan-based singer, songwriter, and worship leader. Grove made his debut with “Holy Flame,” which earned finalist recognition in the Unsigned Only Music Awards. His follow-up single, “A Mighty Thanks,” received national airplay on the Weekend Top 20 Countdown, syndicated across more than 300 radio stations.
In February 2026, Grove expanded his sound with “Rain or Shine,” featuring Christian hip-hop veteran KJ-52. The song reached No. 1 on the Christian Music Weekly CHH/Rhythmic Chart. He followed it with the rock-driven singles “New Life” and “Hope,” as well as the August worship release “Trust (Psalm 13).”
Grove has also received recognition from several prominent songwriting competitions. “A Mighty Thanks” was named a semifinalist in the 2025 American Songwriter Song Contest, while both “Holy Flame” and “A Mighty Thanks” became finalists in the Christian and Teen categories of the 2025 International Songwriting Competition. In 2026, Grove signed a publishing administration agreement with Kingdom Impact Group.
