Alternative rock single celebrates 14 weeks on Christian music weekly’s CHR chart as radio support continues to grow
Alternative rock band Eauclaire continues its impressive run at Christian radio as their latest single, “Changing,” holds the No. 1 position on Christian Music Weekly’s Contemporary Hit Radio (CHR) chart for the third consecutive week. Now in its 14th week on the chart, the Scott Mills-produced anthem continues to connect with radio programmers and listeners across the United States and internationally, marking a significant milestone for the band.
Produced by Scott Mills (Colony House), “Changing” blends early-2000s alternative rock nostalgia with a fresh, modern edge. Driven by soaring guitars and anthemic hooks, the song wrestles with the challenges of growth and the tension between where we are and where we’re headed. Its message that pain is part of the making has resonated with listeners and radio programmers alike, helping establish the single as a standout release for the band.
Radio stations across multiple formats have embraced the track, including RadioU, The Blast Blender, and Springfield’s 99.5 KADI, where listeners and on-air personalities alike have made it a favorite. “We are so glad that we added ‘Changing’ by Eauclaire to RadioU’s playlist,” shares the RadioU team. “The response from our listeners has been fantastic, and we love seeing the requests to make sure they keep hearing it on-air!”
“Our listeners and our DJs at KADI absolutely LOVE this song!” adds DJ A.J., Saturday night host of The Night Shift on 99.5 KADI. “I play ‘Changing’ every Saturday on The Night Shift! It’s such a great track!”Additional radio support extends across the United States and internationally, including Cross Rhythms Plymouth 96.3 FM in Plymouth, England; Wagga’s Life FM 101.9 in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia; 97X WIXL 97.1 FM in Madison, Wisconsin; and KICY 100.3 FM in Nome, Alaska. The growing list of stations reflects the song’s reach across Christian rock, alternative, and contemporary hit radio formats.
The song’s crossover appeal has also found a home on The Blast Blender, where its indie alternative sound complements the station’s diverse mix of Christian pop, rock, hip-hop, R&B, and electronic music.
“While our new-rock station TheBlast.FM is focused on hard rock, Eauclaire’s melodic indie alternative sound fits nicely in the blend of Christian pop, pop-rock, rap/hip hop, R&B and electronic dance music that airs on our Hot CHR station called The Blast Blender,” shares Colin of TheBlast.FM. “It is a welcome addition to its playlist!”
The chart-topping success marks an exciting new chapter for Eauclaire, whose music has previously been featured in the CW and Netflix series All American, on MTV and MTV2, and in international advertising campaigns. Formed in 2010 by longtime friends Bryant Urich, Kyle Kicker, and Justin Barnett, the band continues to build on its distinctive blend of heartfelt songwriting, atmospheric textures, and guitar-driven alternative rock.
Looking ahead, Eauclaire is back in the studio preparing new music for 2027, with a new album and live EP planned for release. The upcoming projects will continue the band’s return to its roots, embracing the chemistry and musical identity that have defined their journey together.
