Sesame Street is baking up a fresh batch of pop hits — with a little extra parody-flavored sugar.
Sesame Workshop has announced Parody Party, a new album featuring playful takes on tracks by hit artists including Chappell Roan, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, RAYE, KPop Demon Hunters’ HUNTR/X, and more. Arriving July 26th via Warner Music Group’s Arts Music, Parody Party is available to pre-save now and will combine four brand-new parodies with three fan-favorite tracks that were previously available exclusively on YouTube.
Leading the rollout is “Take a Bite,” a Cookie Monster-fronted spin of Bruno Mars’ “I Just Might” that reimagines the original as a disco-pop ode to baking and eating cookies. The song arrives with an accompanying music video that also parodies Mars’ original clip, and you watch it below.
Among the album’s other tracks are “Got to Go,” a potty-training anthem inspired by Chappell Roan’s “HOT TO GO!”; “Where Is My Lovie,” based on RAYE’s “Where Is My Husband!” and finding Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, and Elmo looking for a lost toy; and “Go for the Gold,” drawing inspiration from “Golden” by KPop Demon Hunters and finding Abby, Zoe, and Rosita forming their own K-pop trio.

As for the previously available numbers, there’s the recycling-themed “Sort It All” rework of Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” (led, of course, by Oscar the Grouch), Cookie Monster’s “Share It Maybe” take on Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe,” and CM’s ode to the arduous reality of delayed gratification “Me Want It (But Me Wait),” a parody of Icona Pop’s “I Love It.”
“Sesame Street has always been at the forefront of popular culture, using music as a powerful way to connect with each new generation,” Aaron Bisman, Sesame Workshop’s senior vice president and head of marketing, said in a statement. “Parody Party marks an exciting new chapter in Sesame Street’s musical history.”
