Singer Roxanne Luciano is celebrating legacy, love, and the enduring influence of Southern bass music with the release of her highly anticipated single, a 30-year anniversary cover of the classic hit “My Boo,” originally made famous by Ghost Town DJ’s. The track is set to drop on all major streaming platforms on June 2, 2026.
The release holds special meaning for Luciano, as it honors her father, Tony Mercedes, a legendary figure widely recognized as a pioneer and champion of bass music.
“I just wanted to honor my dad’s legacy within a genre he helped create and championed,” said Luciano. “So I enlisted the help of two of his former artists, Playa Poncho and J. Stylz, along with super songwriter and producer Sean ‘Pen’ McMillion to bring it to life.”

Blending nostalgic vibes with a modern edge, Luciano’s rendition of “My Boo” pays tribute to the golden era of ’90s bass while introducing the sound to a new generation of listeners.
In addition to the single release, Luciano is set to join the highly anticipated 90’s Bassfest Reunion Tour, performing alongside genre favorites including the 69 Boys, J.T. Money, Playa Poncho, 95 South, MC Shy D, Dis-N-Dat, and more. The tour promises to celebrate the culture, energy, and lasting impact of bass music across the country.
With deep roots in the genre and a fresh voice for today’s audience, Roxanne Luciano continues to carry forward a powerful musical legacy while carving out her own path.
