Lola Young has teamed up with Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) for a new Lifelines T-shirt. Find all the details below.
The T-shirt is part of CALM’s campaign to raise funds for suicide prevention, with money going towards their services, which include a suicide prevention helpline and the mental health app CALMzone.
Launched last year, CALM’s ‘Lifelines’ collection also features designs from Fontaines D.C., BlossomsandInhaler.
Young’s tee features her lyric, “There’s a flicker of light. There’s always morning after the night”, which is taken from her song ‘Flicker Of Light’.
“I wrote this song about realising there is hope. I have often felt like there isn’t, but there is always a reason to keep going,” Young said. “That’s even when you don’t want to get out of bed, you do, and that is amazing, and you’re still here, and you’re still alive, and if anything, that’s something to be proud of.”
Simon Gunning, CALM’s CEO, added: “We couldn’t be more grateful to Lola for supporting ‘Lifelines’ and showing just how powerful music can be as a force for good.”

Young has been open about her own struggles with her mental health. Earlier this year, she made her return to the live stageaftercancelling her 2025 tourto recover from exhaustion, having previouslycollapsed on stage in New York City. She would later go on toopen up about seeking treatment for addictionduring that hiatus and attending AA meetings to help get things back on track.
Speaking toNME back in May, Young told us that while she believes “all healing journeys are never ending”, she is “definitely in a much better place”, and feels “excited and ready to perform and to release music” now.
As for the support she received from fans after opening up about her personal struggles, she added: “My fans inspire me in the same way I hope to inspire them. I feel like I’ve never tried to be especially honest… it just comes very naturally to me.
“I don’t really have any other choice but to be honest, so if people connect to that, and that’s amazing.”
Numerous artists also praised the ‘Messy’ singer for speaking so candidly about the intense demand faced by touring artists.Lily Allen, for example, said she was “in awe” of the BRIT and Grammy winner, andVictoria Canal praised her for raising more awarenessto the detrimental effect that touring schedules can have on a musician’s mental health.
As for if she can feel the tide turning when it comes to artists setting stronger boundaries to protect their wellbeing, Young toldNME: “I never intended it to start a movement, but I hope that it does in some way.”
