Devil Master announce Bloody Dreams, drop new single

Philadelphia blackened punk outfit Devil Master have announced their new album, Bloody Dreams, due out September 4 via Relapse Records.

Alongside the announcement, the band has released the album’s lead single, “You Worms’ Vain Delusions,” along with an accompanying music video.

Speaking about the album’s direction, guitarist Darkest Prince said the music is rooted in the history of the word “gothic,” describing Devil Master’s “psychedelic blend of black metal and punk” as “defiant” and “the marriage and definition of the whole history of the etymology of the word ‘gothic,’ of the barbarian punk side up to the spiritual, dark, supernatural, gothic evil.”

Bloody Dreams was mastered by Arthur Rizk and features guest appearances from Sigh’s Mirai Kawashima, former Power Trip drummer Chris Ulsh, and Ur Èmdr Œrvn of Arkha Sva.

Devil Master will support the album with a September European tour, including appearances at Summer Dying Loud Festival and dates with Japanese avant-garde metal veterans Sigh.
