Jason Walker wants us to let our hair down and ‘Dance A Little’ with his new single, which has been produced and co-written with chart-topping producer, Georgie Porgie.
A great beat and a compelling melody, propelled by a superb vocalist, are just three reasons why we should listen to Jason and ‘Dance A Little’. It’s his enthusiasm that’s the main thing that will get us going however, as he puts into motion those talents that have seen him score five Billboard number one singles. Managing to be playful and yet authoritative, Walker instructs his fans to “move it”, but he does so with such pure joy and fun that it’s impossible to refuse his command. He never takes himself too seriously, and his exuberance is absolutely palpable as he lifts up – even liberates – his listeners and gets them onto the dance floor.
‘Dance A Little’ is a club banger with a big bass, slick synths, and a riff that is dancing as much as the fans. The music video that comes with it, directed by Karl Giant, is just as riotous.
In the clip the first thing we notice is Walker himself. He’s always right in the centre of the shot, dressed in hot pink with makeup to match, glowing under the blacklight. He feels almost too big for the screen, like he’s about to burst through, but it’s not frightening in the slightest, but rather, we’re happy to come along for the ride.
