They hardly make bands like Fluppies anymore. They’re a chaotic, eclectic, unpredictable band in the vein of Blood Brothers or At the Drive-In, with songs that contort and bend and just fall apart on a dime. In February, they dropped their debut LP Fluppies, twenty minutes of blistering, off-the-wall post-hardcore. We’ve got an exclusive premiere of the band’s latest video for the explosive closing track “Whose Names Are Legion.”
Vocalist Lauren Lavín had this to say: “I think the way [guitarist and songwriter] Karter wrote it is perfect, except we had to rewrite the melody after we’d already left the studio because our voices are too different. And then I recorded the vocals in my apartment. My favorite part is the outro where I hope all the beautiful weirdos will learn how to dance.”
Check out the video below.
Fluppies is out now.
