The celebration of the 40th anniversary one of the best concert films ever, Talking Heads‘ Stop Making Sense, continues with the release of A24’s new tribute album Everyone’s Getting Involved: A Tribute to Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense, which is out today.
We already heard Paramore‘s joyful cover of “Burning Down The House” (as well as David Byrne‘s rendition of their “Hard Times”), and the album also includes Miley Cyrus (“Psycho Killer”), the National (“Heaven”), Blondshell (“Thank You For Sending Me An Angel”), the Linda Lindas (“Found A Job”), Jean Dawson (“Swamp”), BADBADNOTGOOD (“This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody) feat. Norah Jones), Kevin Abstract (“Once In a Lifetime”), Toro y Moi (“Genius of Love” feat. Brjiean), girl in red (“Girlfriend is Better”), Lorde (“Take Me To The River”), and Chicano Batman (“Crosseyed and Painless” feat. Money Mark).

There are also special screenings of Stop Making Sense coming up in NYC and Los Angeles, which will feature a Q&A with the band, moderated by Questlove in NYC and Fred Armisen in LA, and performances of their covers by the Linda Lindas (NYC) and Blondshell (LA). They happen on June 4 at Hollywood Pantages Theatre, and June 13 at Kings Theatre.
