Raheem DeVaughn and The Colleagues are back with yet another banger. The R&B singer and production duo, along with saxophonist Vandell Andrew, have released a new song titled “Euphoria (Raheem DeVaughn Remix).” It’s the latest version of The Colleagues and Andrew’s 2022 instrumental.
On the deviational anthem, DeVaughn sets his sights on giving his woman the ultimate lovemaking experience. “Stroke by stroke,” he plans to explore every part of her body until shows signs of appreciation. “I’m gonna make your body say, say ‘thank you,’” DeVaughn sings on the passionate track.
“Euphoria” will appear on their upcoming collaborative album, Love Euphoria, due Feb. 10. The album will also include a feature from Goapele on the song “Love Around The Clock.”
Speaking on the remix, KP of The Colleagues tells Rated R&B, “I met Vandell Andrew through Raheem. Vandell and I did the original version of ‘Euphoria’ with him playing the sax. Raheem loved it and asked to do a remix. We loved the remix so much that I proposed the idea of us just doing a project together with an R&B/jazz fusion vibe.”
This isn’t DeVaughn and The Colleagues’ first rodeo. In 2020, DeVaughn released his eighth studio album, What A Time To Be In Love, which was produced entirely by The Colleagues. It was listed among Rated R&B’s 30 Best R&B Albums of 2020.
DeVaughn also appeared on The Colleagues’ 2022 album, Love Lust Vulnerability, the follow-up to 2020’s Love Dates and Heartbreaks. The latter album featured vocal contributions from Tiffany Evans.
In other music news, DeVaughn recently teamed with rising singer Tanya Nolan on her new single “Pace Yourself.”
