Toosii and Asian Doll are butting heads after his comments about what it means to be famous these days. During an Instagram Live session on Saturday (Oct. 5), the âFavorite Songâ hitmaker criticized women â especially girlfriends and baby mothers â who gain massive followings online through being associated with rappers or other celebrities.
âWhen the f**k did being somebodyâs girlfriend make you famous? When the f**k was that ever a celebrity?â Toosii questioned via the platform. âYou will find b**ches being celebrities, and you donât even know what the f**k they do. Theyâre just somebodyâs girlfriend or [babyâs mother]. That s**t is crazy. They donât got a product theyâre selling. They donât do nothing. They donât got nothing going on. Theyâre just famous because the world done blew them up.â
He later clarified, âIâm not talking about anyoneâs [babyâs mother] in particular.â Unfortunately, many social media users, including Asian Doll, took the NAUJOUR artistâs remarks as a dig at his own childâs mother.
âWatch who yâall date âcause n**gas [get] so mad about your come up but wanted you to stay down for [theirs],â the Dallas rapper warned on Sunday (Oct. 6). She followed up the post with, âToosii, you [are] gay… End of story.â
Afterward, the pair began posting throwback photos of one another that some may consider unflattering. âAround that time, I was just a pretty boy,â Toosii defended himself. âWe all have MySpace [and] Facebook pictures like that, and I was dating one of the prettiest b**ches in the city.â
Toosii unveiled his latest project, JADED, on Friday (Oct. 4). The 13-track offering housed pre-release singles like âChamps Ãlyséesâ with Gunna and âFuk You Mean.â Other features included Muni Long and Kehlani, who lent their honey-hued vocals to âI Doâ and âOk⦠Whatever,â respectively.
Asian Doll, on the other hand, dropped off âBlood On My Handsâ in August. It marked her first release as the lead artist since âWhere the Fun N**gas At? (Remix)â featuring Gloss Up.
