My Thoughts: These don’t look especially appetizing, but they might be the single tastiest savory item I tried at Epic Universe. And they have some of the most clever theming. They’re served in the Burning Blade Tavern, the bar and restaurant in the Dark Universe that looks like the windmill from the climax of 1931’s Frankenstein. (You might have seen it catching on fire online.)

Within the mythology of the Burning Blade, the place is so flammable because it houses so much coal —hence these little cheese nuggets that resemble the stuff. The blackened outsides are nice and crisp and the jalapeño pimento innards are hot and gooey. The sriracha ranch adds even more heat which adds another layer of theming. Sorry, Frankenstein; in this case, fire is not bad. This is movie-inspired food at its most deliciously over-the-top.
