Yesterday, the third episode of American punk band The Offspring’s podcast series was released across streaming platforms. Featuring the two frontmen for the band, Dexter Holland and Kevin ‘Noodles’ Wasserman, along with longtime friend Jason ‘Blackball’ McLean and one special guest (varying on a per-episode basis), the four-man lineup discuss all kinds of topics, inside and outside of the music industry.
Dating back four decades, The Offspring’s two frontmen have seen their fair share of drama, from lineup changes to contract disputes, and much more in between. The duo started to share these stories in mid-2023, releasing the first episode of their podcast with Blackball and Fletcher Dragge (from fellow punk band Pennywise). The trio’s show quickly took off, and produced enough demand for a regular series. So far, one episode has been released every month, with the most recent release featuring Pierre Bouvier, the lead vocalist of the platinum-certified Canadian rock band Simple Plan.
Featuring only the most important topics, and questions ranging from ‘will Noodles wear shorts on stage’ to ‘what’s the worst car crash you’ve been in’, the mostly satirical show has become one of the most watched podcasts of the year, with millions of people tuning in to listen to Dexter Holland and Noodles talk about someone getting his anal cavity searched. It’s one of the things you have to see (and hear) to believe – luckily for you, the third episode is available across streaming platforms now, and you can check it out through the links below.
