By most measures, $340 million is a lot of money — even for a movie that supposedly cost $165 million to make. But this is Star Wars we’re talking about, and more specifically, this is the first Star Wars movie in theaters in almost seven years. And despite that lengthy drought, The Mandalorian and Grogu became the lowest-grossing Star Wars film of the Disney era — a full $50 million worse than the lowly, unloved Solo: A Star Wars Story.
