The network demands that the actor, and MCTV Streaming Network stop using Zeus-owed trademark with his upcoming reality show “Bad Boys Club ATL.”
Zeus Network CEO Lemuel Plummer, Socialite & Reality Star Natalie Nunn Lawyer sent Milan Christopher a Cease-and-Desist Letter demanding he stops the production of his upcoming reality show Bad Boys ATL.
“The Zeus network has been made aware that Milan Christopher has issued a casting call for a show called “Bad Boys Atlanta.” This show is not affiliated with Zeus, and the use of the Bad Boys Name in connection with this program is a violation of Zeus’ exclusive intellectual property rights.”
Fans became aware of Milan’s new plans when he posted a promo flyer on Instagram today accepting auditions for the show. Milan’s announcement comes just five days after the Zeus Network posted an Audition call for Season 2 of Bad Boys, which will begin filming in Houston, TX, later this year. It’s feared that Milan’s new venture could cause confusion among it’s viewers.
A fan commented on Instagram, asking if Milan, Rio, and Moolah would violate their contract if they also worked on the show from behind the camera as producers. And Nunn responded by saying, “Myself and Zeus own the rights of Bad Boys, period.”
Milan posted a defiant video in response to her comments. In the video, he claims that Natalie Nunn and the Zeus Networks don’t own the intellectual rights to the Bad Boys name. Watch the full video below.
But does Milan have a point? In the world of entertainment, The Term “Bad Boys” has been used several times. Currently, over 4,400 registered trademarks use different variations of the name.
Before Will Smith’s iconic movie franchise “Bad Boys” starring Martin Lawrence, legendary actor Shawn Penn starred in “Bad Boys” in 1983, directed by Rick Rosenthal. There have also been Male Stripper Revues, Mexican, Pop, and Rock Music Groups, including the infamous hip hop label owned by Sean “Diddy” Combs, Bad Boys Records that all dawned the name.
However, Milan’s close proximity to the Zeus Network, while starring in their version of Bad Boys club, makes his true intentions evident. He was extremely upset about his supposed mistreatment on the show, so now he wants to be in direct competition with them. Milan would have to go to great lengths to make his show unique to avoid any legal issues. The production for his new show hasn’t begun, so only time will tell.
