Three weeks after releasing “Intentional,” Vedo has returned with another new single titled “Split.” It was co-produced by Cubeatz (Drake, Future) and Keyz (Chris Brown, Keyshia Cole).
On “Split,” Vedo presents a scenario where two lovers are having a disagreement, which leads to reconciling in the sheets. “Got a confession / When you get mad at me, baby, I think it’s sexy / That’s why we whenever we fightin’, it leads to the bedroom / I wanna love on you even when I can’t stand you,” he croons.
Regarding the inspiration behind his new single, Vedo shares, “We’ve all at one point thought that it was sexy when your significant other got mad at you, even if they are overreacting. That’s just them letting you know, ‘Don’t play [with] me.’ That’s how we know they actually care. Just know when they stop getting upset, you have a major problem.”
“Split” arrives with an accompanying video directed by AM Visuals. The video opens with Vedo and a love interest in a heated argument before transferring that heat to something else. (The video can be viewed below.)
As noted above, “Split” is the follow-up to “Intentional,” which he released Aug. 18. Both songs will appear on Vedo’s forthcoming album, which will follow Mood Swings, released in January. The latter album includes Vedo’s single “Do You Mind” featuring Chris Brown.
On Oct. 15, Vedo will launch his headlining Still Having Mood Swings Tour in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He will make stops in St. Louis, Pittsburg, Tampa, Memphis, Dallas and more. The tour concludes Nov. 12 in Denver, Colorado.
