Spasm – Disbanded – Metal Storm

After 25 years and five full-length releases, Czech goregrind formation Spasm have decided to call it quits. Their full statement can be read below.

Statement from the group: “Friends, brothers and fans of Spasm. Everything has its beginning and its end. I thought I would never have to say this, but the day has come when I need to say one big Thank You to everyone who ever took part in my musical journey. Thank you for everything. It’s been one hell of a ride. It was an honour to share the stage with you and spread some joy together, my friends. This decision isn’t rushed — it’s the result of a long period of feeling that I have nothing more to offer, musically or as a person. And so, after 25 years, the circle called Spasm comes to a close. Yes, the band is ending, and I believe we’re leaving with our heads held high, with nothing to be ashamed of. I know others will come, better ones… Sam S-grind”
