Heavy shoegaze greats Failure are the subject of a new documentary, Every Time You Lose Your Mind, which will stream via Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ starting June 27. More than a decade in the making, the film was directed by band frontman Ken Andrews and features interviews with Maynard James Keenan, Hayley Williams, Butch Vig, David Dastmalchian, Margaret Cho, Jason Schwartzman, Tommy Lee, Rick Beato, and more.
“Our fans have connected with the themes of depression and addiction in our music,” Andrews says. “The film crystallizes those connections and, ultimately, communicates hope. We’re a band that faced a specific set of challenges and somehow managed to survive and thrive. It’s a story about resilience, finding ways to cope, and not giving up.”
