After making her debut with last year’s mud on my superstars EP, rising singer-songwriter Keni Titus has returned with the new single “think i got a bad idea.”
The springy alt-pop song comes ahead of her tour with beabadoobee in the fall, reflecting the carefree abandon of a new relationship and the desire to live each day on your own terms. For years, Titus felt stifled by the pressure to act a certain way but ultimately found a way to trust herself, take more risks, and discover joy in the process. The track also comes with a video, directed by Titus, that features the singer doing just that as she wanders beaches and drives with the top down throughout LA.

“‘think i got a bad idea’ is a song about throwing caution to the wind,” Titus exclusively tells AP. “It’s about letting go of expectations and growing up and becoming your own person. I’ve been going through a lot of big life changes and learning how to trust my intuition over the past year. I just feel like this song encompasses those hard feelings but through the lens of my love life.”
