Legendary singer, songwriter and producer Babyface will perform “America the Beautiful” at the Super Bowl LVII pregame show on Sunday, Feb. 12.
“Truly excited and honored to perform America the Beautiful at Super Bowl LVII and to be a part of this pregame lineup,” said Babyface.
Award-winning actress and singer Sheryl Lee Ralph, who currently co-stars in the ABC hit show Abbott Elementary, will perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”
“Come on now. Don’t you ever give up on you baby! I’ll be singing Lift Every Voice and Sing at Super Bowl LVII – See you there,” Ralph wrote in an Instagram caption.
Country music singer Chris Stapleton will sing the national anthem.
The performances will be held at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, where the big game will be played afterward.
Oscar-nominated singer Rihanna will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show. She will be the first artist to headline the halftime show under Apple Music’s new partnership with the NFL and Roc Nation.
Circling back to Babyface, the music legend is preparing to hit the road with Anita Baker on her Songstress Tour. The highly anticipated tour begins Feb. 11 in Hollywood, Florida, at Hard Rock Live.
“I am looking forward to sharing her stage and seeing all of you for some fun evenings filled with music & love,” said Babyface.
Babyface will be supporting his latest album, Girls Night Out, released Oct. 21, 2022, on Capitol Records.
The album includes Babyface’s chart-topping hit “Keeps On Fallin‘” with Ella Mai. It also includes features from Ari Lennox, Coco Jones, Sevyn Streeter, Queen Naija and more.
Babyface told Rated R&B in an interview that he was inspired to collaborate with the new generation of women in R&B after his Verzuz with producer Teddy Riley.
“I ended up getting a lot more fans through Instagram and hearing from people in a different age group that I didn’t realize were fans. I picked up new fans, as well,” said Babyface.
He added, “I [wanted] to figure out how to keep writing for a generation that I wasn’t as completely attached to. Doing this record allowed me to be myself, but also allowed me to work with younger artists, hear their voices and write with them. That’s exactly what this album is — a collaboration of with these girls.”
Super Bowl LVII airs Sunday, Feb. 12, on Fox.
