Kylie Marshall, rising pop superstar, actor, and anti-bullying/suicide prevention activist was featured on “Gary Leavitt and Friends” celebrating a premier of her new single not yet officially released “Before You Decide” this past Wednesday Night.
“Before You Decide” was recorded by Kylie in response to her strong suicide prevention conviction. Suicide is the third leading cause of death for adolescence according to the CDC. Adolescence are held captive in that gray area between childhood and adulthood along with the tress and pressure to fit in socially, or to perform academically. It is also a time of sexual identity and relationships and the need for independence that often conflicts with the rules and expectations set my others. Humanity is fragile and Kylie has set out to help those souls in dismay.
At age 14 Kylie Marshall is about to embark on a life’s journey that promises to catapult her into an avalanche of stars and poetry. However, one stone rolling down the mountain changes nothing unless others move with it. Fueled by talent Kylie is using her assets and influences to promote awareness, change and hope. Along with Grammy winning publisher turned manager Tony Mercedes she has already started an anti-bullying movement called “Artists Against Bullying” used during The Atlanta Dreamfest concert starring Nickelodeon’s That Girl Lay Lay, and praised by Atlanta’s Mayor.
“Gary Leavitt and Friends” can be heard every Wednesday night at 8:00 PM EST. Each week he interviews celebrities and rockstars playing their music on his show. The radio station covers South Boston and can also be heard on the internet.
“Damn everything that is grim, dull, motionless, unrisking, inwood, turning, damn everything that won’t get in the circle, that won’t enjoy, that won’t throw it’s heart into the tension, surprise, fear, and delight of the circus, the round world, full of existence”…..Helen Kelley
