Alright, let’s settle in for a chat with Mr. FoW himself. He’s here to give us the inside scoop on “Soul Boi III,” the project that’s got everyone talking. We’ll hear about what inspired him, the hurdles he faced, and where he’s headed next. Whether you’ve been a fan from the start or you’re just discovering his music, this conversation is going to be real and insightful.
Q: First off, can you tell us a bit about yourself? Who is Mr. FoW?
Mr. FoW: Sure, at the heart of it, I’m an artist exploring the boundaries of hip-hop and R&B. I like to call my style “Alt-X”—it’s all about blending different sounds to create something new and exciting. I’m fortunate to have a great team supporting me: Dr. FoW & Associates manage things behind the scenes, while GIP Studios & Atem Group handle the distribution, label, and publishing side.
Q: Okay, let’s dive into your latest project. Can you tell us more about “Soul Boi III”?
Mr. FoW: Absolutely, “Soul Boi III” holds a special place in my heart. I released it on July 13th, and it just felt like the right moment. With so much happening in the world, I wanted to create something that felt connected to the times, something that could speak to people. Think of this project as a warm-up, a little preview of what’s to come in 2025 when my full-length album drops.
Q: So, what kind of vibe or message are you going for with this album?
Mr. FoW: This album is really about giving everyone a glimpse into my future direction as an artist. It goes beyond just the music itself; it’s about the journey I’m on. I’ve been sitting on a few of these songs for a while now—tracks like “BushioHOVa” and “PrecIOUs“—and it feels good to finally release them. There’s also “mDNA,” which features my friend Duchess. She’s incredibly talented and her voice adds a whole new dimension to the song. I’m really curious to see how people respond to it.
Q: You mentioned Duchess is featured on “mDNA.” How did that happen?
Mr. FoW: Duchess is incredibly talented, and I’ve always felt she’s destined for big things. We’ve been friends for a while, and I knew I wanted her on this project. “mDNA” needed that extra something special, and she delivered. Her voice in the first part of the song has this raw, soulful quality that really fits the overall vibe. It was one of those collaborations that just felt right from the start.
Q: How does “Soul Boi III” fit into your overall music collection?
Mr. FoW: It definitely plays a key role. My music has always been about storytelling, and this project feels like the next chapter in that story. If you’ve listened to my earlier albums, like “Bush Boi” or “Tech Boi,” you’ll notice how “Soul Boi III” shows my growth. Each project builds on the one before it but also takes things in a fresh direction. I’m always trying to challenge myself and experiment with new sounds. This album reflects that – it’s about where I am now and where I’m heading.
Q: Lastly, who do you think will connect with this album the most?
Mr. FoW: Honestly, my music is for anyone who’s searching for something fresh and unique, something that breaks the mold. But if I had to narrow it down, I’d say I’m speaking to young adults, you know, the millennials and Gen Zers who are hustling and building their lives. I’m talking to the entrepreneurs, the artists, the couples, the families – people who aren’t settling for the bare minimum. They’re the ones who want to build a legacy, who are thinking about the future.
That’s all for now! “Soul Boi III” is out now, so go check it out on Spotify, Tidal, or Apple Music and enjoy the soulful vibes. Don’t forget to follow Mr. FoW on Instagram @mrfow777.
