Evanescence and guitarist Jen Majura part ways

Arkansas alt-rock favorites Evanescence have parted ways with guitarist / backing vocalist / theremin player Jen Majura following a seven-year stint together.

Announcing the news via social media this weekend, Evanescence said, “It has been a very special chapter in the band with our dear friend Jen Majura, but we have decided it’s time to go our separate ways. We will always love her and support her, and can’t wait to see what she does next! We are so grateful for the good times and great music we made all around the world together.”

They added, “We are hard at work rehearsing for our upcoming tour and will have some exciting news about the new lineup coming in the next few days, so stay tuned.”

Hailing from Germany, Jen contributed to Evanescence’s last two albums ‘Synthesis’ (2017) and ‘The Bitter Truth’ (2021). Prior to joining Evanescence, Majura released two studio albums ‘Jen Majura’ (2015) and ‘Inzenity’ (2017), and also played for Knorkator (guitarist, 2012–2014), and Equilibrium (bass, 2014).
