Not much we can tell you about mysterious Portuguese duo Lord Sin, as they choose to cloak their real identities in secrecy. Their second full-length, Confessions, however, reveals a doom-obsessed outfit with a penchant for experimentation. The guitar and drums on all six tracks on this sludgy crusher were recorded live, with bass, vocals and keyboards added later. The effect is a raw representation of the band’s dark rock explorations.
Confessions was recorded at Rock’n’Raw Studios in Alfornelos, Portugal by Bruno Jorge and mixed and mastered by Ricardo Towkuhsh Rodrigues at ERRE Estúdios. It will be available on CD and digitally on December 13, via Larvae Records. Place your preorder here.
A quote from the Lord himself:
“When we formed Lord Sin in 2020, we had no idea the path it would take us on. What started as a simple project has grown into something much bigger, and we’re thrilled to finally share our second album, Confessions.
“This album feels like the natural evolution of our debut—keeping the raw energy intact while exploring new heights. For us, the essence of Lord Sin lies in blending raw improvisation with the emotional depths of doom and psychedelic dark rock, so we hope you like it.”
