Farmer Wants A Wife Alum Checked Into Mental Health Hospital
Farmer Wants a Wife has quickly become a popular and successful reality show. The United States version is currently airing the third season of the show. However, this news is taking fans back to Season 1 of the hit show.
It seems one of the women chosen at the end of Season 1 is having some issues and is being proactive to resolve them. She checked herself into a mental health hospital and shared the news with her followers on social media.
Khelsi Stone who dated Allen Foster on Farmer Wants a Wife was ultimately chosen by him at the end of the first season. Sadly, things did not work out for them long term. They actually announced the end of their short-lived relationship just a few days after the season finale of the show aired on FOX.
She went on to have another relationship following the split from Allen. However, she appears to be single at this time. So, Khelsi went to social media to share that she is being proactive in her mental health journey and is checking herself into a mental health facility.
Khelsi shared her news on Instagram. She said,
“My decision this week.. I’ve decided to check myself into a mental health wellness rehab oriented around abuse, trauma, ptsd recovery. No phone or connection to the outside world for 3 weeks +. I’ll be spending my time in countless hours of therapy approaches, such as intense counseling including EMDR and other approaches to even equine, art, music, and exercise/nutrition therapy.
I have been hurting for a long time & it’s been super heavy
I hope to return with so much awareness and coping mechanisms to truly transform any depression, anxiety, insecurity, & dependency
I hope if you needed to take that step, you will”
She Explained Why She Is Sharing With Followers
Farmer Wants a Wife alum Khelsi Stone shared that at first, she was somewhat embarrassed by the fact that she was seeking help. However, someone pointed out to her that she is being a role model for their daughter. She’s being an advocate that it is okay to admit to not handling things well and reaching out for help.
Khelsi understands that her vulnerability and openness might not be for everybody. However, she has always admired those willing to be authentic in a cruel world that suppresses and pretends that everything is always okay.
She believes everyone is broken in ways whether or not they portray it with love or push it off on others.
It’s okay to seek help and grow from past traumas and pain.
