Brooklyn-based alt rock band Everstill have released Red, the first single off of their forthcoming EP WHAT IS ENOUGH. The song reflects on the cognitive dissonance that comes with moving to a place that goes against one’s values.
The group draws from hard rock, grunge, dream pop, folk and prog rock. WHAT IS ENOUGH comes four years after the debut album, LONGING, a pandemic project by singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sara Aridi (vocals, guitar, bass, keys) and drummer Luca Bertaglia. Upon its release in 2021, the singles In Your Dreams and Waiting landed coverage on platforms in North America and the U.K. In 2023, Aridi teamed up with guitarist Adel Bagli, drummer Britton Matthews and bassist Pierce Krauland to bring songs off of Longing to live stages and work on new material. The group has since spent over a year performing at venues across New York City, including Arlene’s Grocery, The Bowery Electric, Bar Freda, Pete’s Candy Store, Brooklyn Music Kitchen and Lucky 13 Saloon. The bassist Sarah Klein joined the group in 2024 and will be onstage with them at their upcoming show at Hart Bar on March 9. WHAT IS ENOUGH will be released in Spring 2025.
