Temuera Morrison wants to return as Boba Fett in the Star Wars universe, and he needs your help to do it.
What did Temuera Morrison say about returning to Star Wars?
Morrison recently appeared on a panel alongside Daniel Logan at FanX’s Tampa Bay Comic Convention. Logan played the young version of Boba Fett, the son of Jango Fett, in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones.
During the conversation, Morrison was asked if he was returning to the Star Wars universe, to which he said, “No.” To make future appearances as Boba Fett, Morrison suggested how fan interest could bring him back to a galaxy far, far away.
“I think we really have to treasure those moments now,” Morrison said about playing Boba Fett via Collider. “All of you need to send a fax, or a letter, or an email to those powers that be at Lucasfilm. I’m sure they’d love to hear from everyone. Please give Daniel Logan and Temuera Morrison another chance and put them somewhere.”
Logan added, “There’s going to be plenty of opportunities. Especially for this guy, especially with this era of Star Wars, like Ahsoka, and all this stuff set after Return of the Jedi.”
In addition to Attack of the Clones, Logan voiced a young Boba Fett in the animated series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Morrison originally played Jango Fett in Attack of the Clones. Morrison then famously played Boba Fett in The Mandalorian Season 2 before headlining the Disney+ series, The Book of Boba Fett. In the series, Boba Fett and Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) fight for control of the criminal underworld on Tatooine, the same place that used to be occupied by Jabba the Hutt.
Lucasfilm has no plans for a second season of The Book of Boba Fett. The next Star Wars bounty hunter project will be The Mandalorian and Grogu, a live-action movie hitting theaters on May 22, 2026.
