Set for release on November 1, ‘Autumn Dream’ marks the return from a three year musical hiatus for Kam Singh, a singer-songwriter based in Newport Pagnell.
‘Autumn Dream’ is available to pre-save here.
Singh recorded ‘Autumn Dream’ at the now-closed Sound Garage, in Bedford, and the album is significant in that reflects not just the seasonal change, but also that of Kam himself, both as an artist and a person. There’s a certain nostalgia to the album, and in addition to change, it centres on themes of warmth, and transition.
Kam Singh’s songwriting style is as a soulful storyteller, whose catchy hooks remain ear-worming long after the song’s end. Tracks such as ‘Smile’, and ‘Lip Gloss’, released as singles this year in June and March respectively, show a maturity in style, with sparse, simple instrumentation, and mellow alt rock guitar giving the central focus to his silken smooth vocals.
Kam Singh, who has so far, three albums, three EPs, and a range of singles to his credit, has performed at festivals locally in the UK, and also in New York City, in the world famous Times Square. Additionally, he’s been recognised by BBC Introducing, and is indeed, an artist whose star we will enjoy watching as it rises.
‘Autumn Dream’ is out on November 1 and is currently available to pre-save here.
