The videos for Sp8ce Owl’s previous releases have seen him largely disconnected from the tracks, showcasing cityscapes and futuristic space scenery rather than the artist himself; but for the video for his new single, ‘And So It Begins’, he allows nature to speak for herself, in a whirlwind tour of some of the most beautiful places on our planet.
Music has been a constant friend throughout Sp8ce Owl’s life, and like for many of us, it has served for him as an escape from the weight of the world. In 2017 the artist discovered his own talent for writing, recording, and creating, and last year he began his journey of discovery in his musical career, with the release of his debut single, ‘The Future Awaits’, leading to his well-received debut EP, ‘The Future’s Past’. Now, setting the stage for the release of his new EP, ‘Falling from Infinity’, Sp8ce Owl’s new single, ‘And So It Begins’, provides listeners with a compelling peace, by way of digitised beats and melodies. Sp8ce Owl has hit upon the exact balance between driving and soothing rhythms, ensuring that listeners are kept on their toes wanting more, while at the same time being transported away on a ribbon of easy-going musical vibes.
With the music video for ‘And So It Begins’, Sp8ce Owl has hit on the perfect accompaniment to his music, with stunning time lapses across the world’s natural beauty, showing the sun’s progress throughout the day across the planet, rising over the oceans, mountains, trees, and finally, setting, being replaced by the full moon and starlit sky. While the footage is mainly shot in the painted deserts and canyons of the US’s south west, we are also shown clips of natural wonders such as Uluru, in the very heart of Australia, as well as raging rivers and powerful waterfalls. We are reminded that no matter what events fill our lives, Mother Nature continues, and day becomes night, and night becomes day – and so it begins.
