beabadoobee has shared “Lovesong” from her forthcoming album, Beatopia. The project arrives July 15 via Dirty Hit.
“Lovesong” is a piece that finds its power in contradiction. beabadoobee creates a gloomy landscape populated by self-doubt and regret. However, light pierces through every so often when she remembers she has her partner’s support.

beabadoobee spoke about the song’s journey and how it ultimately ended up on Beatopia.
“‘Lovesong’ is a song that I had bits written for since my second-ever EP,” beabadoobee says. “The chorus was actually already written since Loveworm. I just didn’t have any chords to sing it with. It’s actually written in a really strange tuning that I forget. It’s just another sweet love song. It was one of the last songs I recorded for Beatopia.”
beabadoobee is currently supporting Halsey on her Love and Power tour. She is also scheduled for several live dates this summer. Check here for tickets and look below for a list of dates.
