THE AMERICAN RELICS are celebrating the highlights of this year and reflecting upon the insights they gained from their experiences while acknowledging their growth and setting intentions for 2025 and beyond.
First and foremost, the band, Frontman John Gitano, guitarist Neal Lazar, acoustic guitarist Patty Jarman, vocalist Adrienne Dugger, and bass player Nelson Montana welcomed two new members Drummer John McCann and keyboardist Bill Gulino. Both new associates are long time accomplished musicians and an extra asset to a faction brimming with talent.
This year the band has played several live spots at Chelsea Table & Stage in the heart of New York City to a crowd of fans who wound up dancing in the aisles to their retro blend of rock n roll. They did original hits recorded on the Tribeca Record label as well as covers by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and others. The YouTube sensations rock the nostalgia but also write original tunes that are relevant and commercially friendly in today’s music market.
Their hits and originality earned them a place on stage at the cornerstone of the world, Times Square for the 40th Anniversary of the United Nations proclaimed International Peace Day. They were part of a five hour concert entitled “Pause The World For Peace” and fittingly came on as part of The Woodstock segment of the show which was not only broadcast live but also performed in front of the 330,000 onlookers that pass by Times Square daily. The performance also earned them this year’s nomination for the Broadway World Awards…and the voting continues until the end of the year so stay tuned.
Speaking of nominations THE AMERICAN RELICS and John Gitano were also nominated for the prestigious Josie Music Awards in several categories held in the famous Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. The Josie Music Awards are the largest, most respected and most revered organization and event in the Independent Music industry. Out of 75,000 nominations only 3 percent get selected.
Starting off 2025 THE AMERICAN RELICS will be releasing a new song called “Brooklyn” and securing a space during Save The Planet Day this coming April. They will also be a part of a benefit in Vegas late fall for The Let Me Help, Inc foundation….stay tuned!
