Ciara makes a fierce return with her new single “Jump” featuring Coast Contra.
The global superstar leaves no crumbs behind on this delicious bop. “Jump” is a reminder that Ciara can cut through any noise to deliver an undeniable dancefloor-ready anthem. It brings much-needed energy to the musical landscape, especially in the midst of summer.
“You like it when I make the thang jump / You go wild when I make the thang jump / It get loud when I make the thang jump / It’s a party when I make the thang jump, jump,” Ciara sings on the chorus.
“Jump” is Ciara’s first release under her new deal with Uptown Records and Republic Records, in partnership with her imprint Beauty Marks Entertainment.
“I am thrilled to partner with Uptown/Republic Records through my own label imprint Beauty Marks Entertainment,” Ciara said.
“Wendy [Goldstein] and I have been in discussion to work together for some time and the enthusiasm that her and the entire team have expressed over this new project marks an exciting new chapter in my career. I am grateful to be able to continue my mission of making the world dance with a team I admire, who are at the forefront of empowering artists.”
Wendy Goldstein, co-president of Republic Records, added, “I’ve been a fan of Ciara forever. Working with her has been a dream, and she’s making some of the most powerful, undeniable, and innovative music of her entire career now. This is an incredible creative chapter for her, and we’re all excited to be part of it.”
“Jump” is the first single from Ciara’s upcoming eighth album. It will follow 2019’s Beauty Marks, which she released independently on Beauty Marks Entertainment. The album featured her platinum-selling single “Level Up.”
In May, Ciara confirmed that her highly anticipated album is complete. “I’m actually finished with my album, which I’m really excited about,” she told Associated Press.
Ciara will star as the adult Nettie in the upcoming Colored Purple musical film. Halle Bailey of Chloe x Halle will play a younger version of Nettie.
