Eric Mabius is in significant hot water. The 53-year-old Hallmark star was arrested on Thursday, February 20th. The Ugly Betty alum was arrested around 2 a.m. in Nassau County, Florida. The sheriff’s department arrested Mabius and charged him with battery and resisting arrest without violence. However, both charges Eric faces are misdemeanors. Eric Mabius Stars in Hallmark Favorite
Eric Mabius is well known for his role as Daniel Meade on Ugly Betty. Mabius starred in four seasons of the show and was a fan favorite. Additionally, he has also starred in Hallmark’s Signed, Sealed, Delivered franchise. Mabius has been vocal about his pride in the popular Hallmark franchise that has a TV series and 13 movies. Eric said:
“We have such a fervent fan base. Each time we come back together to do another movie, there seems to be so much more behind it, in a lot of good ways.There’s a lot of heaviness, but also so much delight in being together. I think we’re in such a unique place with the show and having 11 years to evolve as human beings, getting the characters doing the same.”
Eric Mabius married Ivy Sherman in 2006. In addition, the couple is proud parents to sons Maxfield, 18, and Rylan, 16. Eric found himself in trouble with the law recently in Nassau, Florida.
Eric Mabius Arrested On Violent Charges
In an incident that occurred early Thursday morning, actor Eric Mabius was arrested for battery and resisting arrest. He was taken into custody in the early hours of the morning. The hallmark star is in custody at the Nassau County Jail and Detention Center. Mabius finds himself charged with not one but two misdemeanors. Eric is seen with visible injuries relating to the incident, which led to his arrest, in his mug shot.
Eric Mabius was processed into the Nassau County Jail and Detention Center, where he received mugshots. In addition, the actor is seen with a black eye on his right side. Speculation is that Mabius was in a physical altercation prior to his arrest. However, the injuries to Eric’s face are potentially a result of resisting arrest as well. Eric will stay at the Nassau County facility until a judge sets bail. Details of the incident that led to Eric Mabius’s arrest were not immediately available. In addition, Eric will be required to follow up with the court and face potential fines or jail time.
