Last year’s Closed Casket Material EP was very possibly the year’s best straight-up pop-punk release. Regrown managed to produce a version of the genre that didn’t feel inherently childish while still embracing the nostalgic, youthful aspects of the genre. They’ve been quiet since, but that’s about to change–on Friday, the New Jersey band is putting out their next EP, titled Regrown. But, lucky for you, you won’t have to wait until Friday, because we’ve got an exclusive stream of the entire EP below.
Vocalist Ben Greenblat shares: “This EP is about finding your place in the world despite its confusing circumstances. I also see this record as an apology for being distant from people i’ve loved and striving to be a better person than i was when i wrote these songs. It’s an EP about finding the right words to say and saying them loudly and with purpose. I hope that people can find some sort of hope when listening to these songs.”
Check out Regrown right here.
Regrown is out tomorrow via Unbeaten Records.
