Usher will headline the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show.
The R&B crooner confirmed his appearance on Sunday in a series of videos featuring Kim Kardashian, Deion Sanders, and Marshawn Lynch.
Usher previously played the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2011 when he appeared as a special guest during Black Eyed Peas’ headlining performance. Now, he’ll get a chance to headline the Big Game himself, presumably with a number of his own special guests in tow. Over the years, Usher has collaborated with the likes of Justin Bieber, Diddy, Nicki Minaj, Ludacris, and Alicia Keys, among many others.
“It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before,” Usher said in a statement. “Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.”
Super Bowl LVIII is scheduled to take place on February 11th, 2024 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. Since 2019, the halftime show has been produced by JAY-Z’s Roc Nation.
“Usher is the ultimate artist and showman. Ever since his debut at the age of 15, he’s been charting his own unique course. Beyond his flawless singing and exceptional choreography, Usher bares his soul,” said Jay-Z in a statement. “His remarkable journey has propelled him to one of the grandest stages in the world. I can’t wait to see the magic.”
Usher is currently staging a Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM. He has shows scheduled at the venue through early December and tickets can be purchased here.
