Sony kicked off the State of Play with a fighting game reveal, one teased at Evo 2022. Tekken 8 has been officially announced with a new trailer. It only mentioned the PlayStation 5 in the trailer, but it’s possible it will be on the Xbox Series X|S and PC, too. No release window was given.

This footage showed Jin and Kazuya fighting in a rainy environment, demonstrating the higher visual fidelity. It had juggles and familiar combos, but there was no gameplay explainer or further details.

Tekken 8, or some Tekken project, was teased during Evo during a Tekken 7 update trailer. However, it was unclear what exactly it was teasing since it was so brief.
